🎯 What are snipers?

A sniper is a wallet that buys a brand-new coin within its first few seconds, usually with a bot watching for new launches. By the time most people see the coin, snipers already hold a chunk of it at the lowest price it will ever have.

Who snipes

  • Trading bots that buy every new launch (or every launch that matches some rule) and sell quickly.
  • The coin's own team, using extra wallets to grab supply cheaply without it showing up as the dev's bag.
  • Experienced traders running their own tools.

Why it matters to later buyers

  • Snipers are almost always in profit early, so they can sell at any moment, often right into the first wave of buyers.
  • Many snipers selling at once can knock a young coin down hard.
  • If the snipers are the team's own wallets, the real share the team controls is bigger than the dev wallet suggests.

How to check a coin

  • Count how many wallets bought in the first few seconds.
  • Check whether those wallets still hold or have already sold.
  • Look for early wallets that were funded from the same place as the dev.

Snipers vs bundles

A bundle buys in the very same moment the coin is created, packed together with the launch. Snipers buy right after, in the first few seconds. Both put a lot of cheap supply in a few hands early, and they often appear together.

πŸ›‘ How GORZ shows it

  • GORZ counts snipers on every coin it saw launch: wallets that bought within the first 3 slots (about a second and a half).
  • A coin gets a warning at 8 or more snipers (a stronger one at 15 or more). It counts for only a little in the grade: on its own, the sniper count has not told dying coins apart in GORZ's data.
  • Known sniper and bundler wallets are called out on the live chart when they trade.

Questions

Are snipers always bad?

Not always: many are bots that sell fast and move on. But a heavy sniper count means a lot of early, cheap supply that can be sold into you.

Can a creator stop snipers?

Not fully. Some creators bundle their own launch to beat the bots, which brings its own problems.
